Jeremy finally bought me some nice cookware (the actual set is the one I have pictured)!!! Stainless steel! I'm so happy! I've been wanting to get rid of my teflon crap cookware and replace them with stainless steel! I do have 3 cast iron frying pans and one large iron pot... but, I wanted stainless steel!

WOW! That's a nice set. I really love the Magnalite set we have. As soon as we got that, all our teflon crap went to be donated. I did end up buying a cheap teflon frying pan at Wal-Mart that is the perfect size for our omlettes.

I use our iron frying pan to make eggs :) Never sticks (I use butter to cook with and spray with Pam after washing and drying it on the stove).

Jeremy will use a teflon frying pan to cook eggs or pancakes in though.

But, I'm so happy to have that new cookware! woohoo!

Yep, I'd have to say that that is a very nice set. And how nice of J to think of you like that :)Must have been payday!! LOL

You got it! It was payday :D hehehe But, yes, I was definitely happy he thought of me and bought me those nice pots :D
Tomorrow is payday... woohoo! :D
Gotta love Fridays :)

i've always loved fridays! at school....even now, they are just different. Payday, yes, but nowadays Jared can get paid anyday....
On Friday's I'll put makeup on just for the hell of it! And yes, I hate to cook on Fridays. I already told Jared that I want him to take me out tomorrow (w/prenatal I won't be home in time to cook anyway), plus I think it'll be neat to do something together before the little baby!!
What have you cooked in yo pots? Can you put them on a high fire? (unlike mine)

I've been cooking in them since the morning after receiving them! Oh, most definitely can cook on high! ha ha ha ha ha HA! lol Even read the instructions to make certain of that since you said you can't with yours. What brand are yours? These are Rivere.

Rivere, that's funny. Should Shane be a millionair? LOL
Mine are Artisan (spelling) Where did he get them? I want some SS that I can COOK on!!
...new stove first!

Okay, I have to correct myself... I just looked at the spelling and its Revere... not Rivere! I was thinking about that last night and almost got out of bed just to correct myself! lol It was on my mind :D

With all of your interest in things natural, I'm surprised you use Teflon. I don't recall the name of the chemicals, but there are chemicals used in Teflon and things like Goretex fabric that are allegedly showing up in alarming amounts in breast milk. I'm sure you can Google Teflon and "breast milk" and find more info - it may be "PFOA".

K,
That's why I hated my teflon pots. I do know about the toxic releases they emit.

I've NEVER bought teflon. One set was given to us and Jeremy bought a couple of frying pans.

Whenever I could, I'd use my cast iron pots to cook in as well as my one stainless steel pot that I had already... it was small though.

Cast iron rocks! Teflon scares me - anything that starts showing up in breast milk is bad.
